ABOUT THE TOUR

Antic Disposition was founded in 2005 by director Ben Horslen and designer John Risebero. The company presents innovative and entertaining interpretations of classic plays and stories, with a particular emphasis on the works of Shakespeare.

Every summer since 2005, Antic Disposition has toured a production to a range of stunning open-air locations across the Lot and Dordogne valleys in southwest France. On the cobblestones of medieval village squares and against a backdrop of vineyards and sunflower fields, the company has presented many of Shakespeare's best-loved plays, including A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Tempest, Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, Henry V and Romeo and Juliet, as well as Oscar Wilde's classic comedy, The Importance of Being Earnest.

As night falls, so too do international barriers, as French and English, tourists and locals, are captivated by a magical evening of theatre under the stars.
